It gives me great pleasure, as Principal of Scoil Bhríde, to welcome you to the school website. This website has been prepared in the hope that it will become a valuable source of school news and timely information for parents, pupils, and visitors to the site.
We at Scoil Bhríde are very proud of the school with its rich tradition of teaching and learning, together with sport and music. Along with the Board of Management, we take great pride in providing a safe and secure learning environment for all children of varying abilities and needs.
Our entire staff is committed to establishing and maintaining a school environment that allows our pupils to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Our website will be updated regularly to provide visitors to it with updated notices and bulletins and other news on a variety of subjects.
At Scoil Bhríde we have:
- A dedicated and committed teaching staff.
- A modern, well-equipped primary school.
- Spacious classrooms which are all equipped with internet access and interactive whiteboards.
- Close proximity to and ongoing involvement in St. Brigid’s Church.
- A school garden in which children grow and maintain their own plants and vegetables.
- Two spacious playgrounds, for Junior and Senior children in the school with basketball courts, football pitches, sand area and an Astroturf pitch.
- Free school book scheme which keeps the back to school cost to a minimum for all children.
- An active and dedicated Parent Association.
- A number of Green Schools flags (Litter & Waste, Energy, Water, Travel, Biodiversity. We continue to engage with the Green schools Programme and are working towards the Global Citizenship- Litter & Waste Flag for 2023.
- An Amber Flag with ongoing engagement and dedication to working alongside the Amber Flag initiative in promoting positive wellbeing among our pupils and local community.
- We are an Active School and take part in the Active School Programme. We proudly achieved our first Active Flag in 2024.
